Specifically, I am curious as to if the Heritage brand IWB for the 1911 will also work with the reduced size 1911 Commander model. There is a listing on Ebay that I might be interested in bidding on if this holster does work for the Commander sized 1911. I would call and ask Milt Sparks, but they are closed through the holiday weekend.

Anyone know for sure, or willing to hazard a guess?

Thanks.

I've got a government model (5") and a compact model (3 5/8"). Either one will fit in my Don Hume IWB or Blackhawk SERPA OWB. With the SERPA both pistols engage the retention perfectly.

The only difference is how far the slide/barrel extends down the holster.
