My ladyfriend and I go shooting about once a week and we both have .40. This can get a little expensive cause we both love to shoot. I've been thinking about getting a 9mm (still keeping the .40) because it seems ammo is somewhat cheaper. My question is: is 9mm luger the same as 9x19? Forgive my ignorance please
The gun show will be here in Savannah and I'll be looking...anyone have any experience with CZ?
Also thinking about getting a little .22 target pistol so I can shoot a few hundred rounds for little $$...would just miss the kick

The 9x19 is also called the 9mm Luger or the 9mm Parabellum

Yes, they are all the same. I own one CZ and have lots of friends/family that also do. They're all top notch as long as you stay with 9mm. The only ones that seem to have problems are a few of the RAMIs (the subcompact) in .40. I highly recommend CZ.

I like the way the compact CZ75 PO1 looks. I've heard some pretty good things about you get a lot of gun for the money. I'd get another sig but if I can save $300 for an outstanding gun.....more money for bullets :lol:

I love CZs. The CZ-UB pistols, at least. That would include the CZ-75B, an excellent if under-appreciated 9mm.

Also, many .40S&W weapons can be converted to 9mm with a barrel/recoil spring/magazine swap, since most .40s are based on existing 9mm designs. Not that I'd ever want to discourage someone from buying a new firearm
