I asked, it stated "The Lord Jesus Christ is Jesus of Nazareth, a Jewish Preacher and religious leader who is the center figure of Christianity"
Crowder is manufactured propaganda. He is "The Daily Show" for the right.I asked, it stated "The Lord Jesus Christ is Jesus of Nazareth, a Jewish Preacher and religious leader who is the center figure of Christianity"
Where do you get this from? If you listen to any political propaganda, it is typically the Left who espouse the view that they are smarter than everyone else, esp the dumb hicks and knuckle-draggers. Especially in regards to firearms ownership and rights. The other political types just shrug their shoulders and laugh at the Left for thinking this. I have yet to see ANY right-wing propaganda where they espouse that they are smarter than the Left. They do make fun of the Left for their supposed "intellectual superiority". This is not the same as claiming you are smarter than they are.The right thinks they are smarter than the left,
I guess you don't keep a cell phone with you either?I don't understand why any sane person would allow Alexa, Google Home or any other "smart" device into their home.opcorn:
While those are subject to hacking, their main purpose isn't to listen to everything and report it back to be recorded.I guess you don't keep a cell phone with you either?
How about the PC/MAC you are using to post this?
Damn right Skippy. I don't even own one.I guess you don't keep a cell phone with you either?
How about it? My home location isn't a state secret. How about the PC/MAC you are using to post this?
Uhhh...."ok google"....if there is a mic, it is listening...hacked or notWhile those are subject to hacking, their main purpose isn't to listen to everything and report it back to be recorded.
Maybe on Android/Google phones it's always listening, but on iPhones you can turn that off for the specific purpose of privacy. Now, you can argue they listen anyway, but that's going to fall under "hacked".Uhhh...."ok google"....if there is a mic, it is listening...hacked or not
It isn't hacked if it is working as designed....call me paranoid but I do not believe a little box being on or off is the end all be all.Maybe on Android/Google phones it's always listening, but on iPhones you can turn that off for the specific purpose of privacy. All else aside, I learned this lesson a few years ago.The right thinks they are smarter than the left, however; they are led just like sheep all the same.
This is what he is talking about.Where do you get this from? If you listen to any political propaganda, it is typically the Left who espouse the view that they are smarter than everyone else, esp the dumb hicks and knuckle-draggers.
Yes, you're paranoid. I am too, but not quite that much. I've never had an advertisement based on conversation around my phone, but I have Siri configured to only listen when I press and hold the button. I've heard others claim what you're saying and the reasoning* went something like this: One of the idiots in the group had everything turned on, meaning open access to conversations and gave pretty much open access to contacts, email, pics, etc. Via the conversation, whoever was listening was able to harvest who was in the conversation and their emails from the one idiot. So, you're mostly right, they are listening, but it may have taken only one idiot in the group for everyone to get emails. It isn't hacked if it is working as designed....call me paranoid but I do not believe a little box being on or off is the end all be all.
We had a group of adults in our van and were discussing android pay and apple pay. By the end of the day all of those that did not use the pay apps received an advertisement through their e-mail. This was across the board apple and android.
They are listening....
LOL! I didn't even ask. It started replying to the video asking.I asked, it stated "The Lord Jesus Christ is Jesus of Nazareth, a Jewish Preacher and religious leader who is the center figure of Christianity"
Alexa maintains a 30 second rolling buffer. When you say the keyword it xmits the buffer from last silence point, plus audio following to the next silence point. That is easily verified with a packet sniffer or basic network monitoring tool. While those are subject to hacking, their main purpose isn't to listen to everything and report it back to be recorded.
Nor have I. But I have gotten side-bar advertisements for very specific products discussed only on non-public forum connected via HTTPS. IMHO, Chrome is absolutely farming your browsing data.Yes, you're paranoid. I am too, but not quite that much. I've never had an advertisement based on conversation around my phone
Yes, that's Alexa's purpose, design and complete existance. I was talking about pc's and cell phones. You can turn that on for a phone, but that's not its only purpose.Alexa maintains a 30 second rolling buffer. When you say the keyword it xmits the buffer from last silence point, plus audio following to the next silence point. That is easily verified with a packet sniffer or basic network monitoring tool.
Think about the implications of this. You may have a conversation in a cone-of-silence, but if any of it gets repeated around one of the devices listening with access to contacts, you might as well post a youtube. You may no longer be in control. It's a problem.I've heard others claim what you're saying and the reasoning* went something like this: One of the idiots in the group had everything turned on, meaning open access to conversations and gave pretty much open access to contacts, email, pics, etc. Via the conversation, whoever was listening was able to harvest who was in the conversation and their emails from the one idiot. Hi, NSA wiretap, please pull up a recipe for homemade tomatillo salsa.I don't understand why any sane person would allow Alexa, Google Home or any other "smart" device into their home.opcorn:
