Interestingly, there is an AG opinion stating that the license is already "shall issue" and that the "may" language only grants the Sheriff discretion to refuse to issue if there is a disqualifying factor. And they issue at 18.

So are these sherriff added restrictions even legal in your opinion? At opencarry.org they make is seem like the sherriff can "pull" your license for "anything."

Alabama laws confuse me on this topic.

I am unaware that they have ever been tested in the courts.
