Any info on the move to the new store. I haven't had a chance to swing by lately, might try to stop in on Monday after work.

The best info I could hear is they have stopped disarming their customers.
I can assure you do to their awful customer service and their policy of disarming their customers I have spent my last dollar with them.

I will take my business somewhere they will appreciate it and not have me disarm before I enter. I would love to see them go out of business but I guess more folks like having their rights trampled on and treated like dirt than I once
though. :screwy:

Ha ha. The truth is the truth. I've never been in your facility but if you need a lesson on how not to run your business swing by and give them a shout.

Best of luck with your recovery and godspeed.

and who asked for you opinion of the store's policy?
If you don't have any relevant info, move along.
Last time I was in there one of the store clerks said some time in 2011 no month or date just year.
My wife and I went there last week, and the guy who helped me, who was a city councelman, said that they were moving sometime in the spring...

as far as customer service, it was awesome, he was super nice to my wife and i, and i even put money down for layaway on a Ruger sr9c...
I give Adventure Outdoors bonus points for posting their prices on the website. Many gun stores won't even quote a price over the phone.
Yep, I love Adventure Outdoors because they actually update their website and post their specials online. Only a handful of stores seem to care enough to do so. As such, I'll always check AO first and purchased both my Sig and SCAR rifles there.

They are usually busy so there can be quite a wait but they've always been courteous.
I cant wait fer the new store. (lady said 1st of the year)

Only complaint with AO is the checkout....took over 30 mins to get outta there last week.
I've always had a good experience in Adventure Outdoors. Their internet ordering is very convenient and you can order something online, and then pick it up at the store. I was there last week, and the checkout did take 20 minutes due to all the paperwork required - but this is not much longer than other shops I've been to.

BTW their new store is supposed to open in Summer 2011.
I was down there on Wednesday afternoon, it was swamped. As noted above there's still no official date for the new store.
Don't do an online order...I did an online order for work last week and had alot of customer service type issues with them. I was able to finally resolve the issues when I threatened to take my business elsewhere. They just seem to busy in order to take care of all customers appropriately. My order was for $3500.00 and I have been treated better making a $500 purchase.

You sound dangerously like the people that are currently in office. This is America. An opinion doesn't have to be solicited before it can be given. Time to get used to that fact. Here's some relevant information: I have been in Adventure Outdoors exactly 6 times over the years, and the customer service there was absolutely disgraceful each and every time (and I'm fairly tolerant when it comes to that). The information the customer service reps were giving was so wrong, I was compelled to talk to a few of customers later and set the record straight, just to keep them out of jail. That doesn't mention the fact that many of them don't use proper gun handling techniques. Not only has Adventure Outdoors lost out on some high dollar gun sales to me, I have actively steered business away from them.
I asked a simple question about their relocation. I was only looking for information about their upcoming move. I did not inquire as to anyone's opinion of the store or their view of it's customer service.
I have no need or want of anyone's opinion of this store. I also didn't want to start another "_______________ shop sucks, because________________", thread
Why it has fallen into this category, and now looks like were getting into useless political commentary is beyond me. If anyone would would like to resurrect any one of the dozen or more "I hate this store because____________" threads please feel free. If you feel the overwhelming urge to vent your frustrations with AO's service, this isn't the thread, simply start another.
If anyone can provide usefull information or has any comments about the move let's hear it. If not please just move along.
Not a bad store. well stocked, but I don't like their carry policy. however, when you go in there on a normal day, you'll have about 30 people there, all help is busy, and no one would be watching the guy pull out his firearm to show another customer. I don't like their policy, but I do understand it.

It was were I would grab ammo on the way to WWT when I lived in Cobb. Stopped by once to kill some time and that trip I left with a very under priced 4in. Security Six that I and everyone that shoots it loves.
went in there the other day to get some archery supplies. asked the guy helping me about the move, he said move would not be complete until around june.

That and their policy on charging people extra if they decide to use a debit or credit card. I refuse to make a special trip to get cash, or find my checkbook. The entire planet has evolved, people use plastic to pay for things they should evolve too..

yeah someone should probably mention to them that that is illegal. cash discounts are technically ok but credit upcharges are a no-no. the company i work for has customers that spend thousands of dollars on credit cards and we would upcharge if we could.
