A Socialist Country Constitution

This is mainly aimed at the relatively few resident socialists that post here, but anyone can feel free to look. Below is a link to Vietnam's Constitution. Look at it, read it, understand it, and then come back here and see if you can honestly say that this is where you want our country headed. Think long and hard before you post.

 These are the people's rights?!?!?!

Article 55: Work is a right, obligation of citizens....

Article 59: Education is a right and obligation of citizens...

Article 61: Citizens are entitled to health care...

Article 69 looks a little like our 1st amendment, freedom of religion is in Article 70.

To answer your questions about the Socialist and far left Progressives, I hear most of these false "rights" all the time stated over here in America.

Healthcare is a right, education is a right, welfare is a right, ect. And yes, this is exactly what these people want in this country. The thing is, Marxists and Socialist used to be ashamed to come out into the light of day and espouse their beliefs, but today, the Socialist and devout Marxists are in our government, and some of them help to run our country right now at the moment. I have no idea how our founder's Republic has fallen so far. The enemy of freedom and liberty are running our government, now. I guess Americans are just that stupid and dumb, or maybe public education has just done its job, but we are too stupid or brainwashed to call Socialism exactly what it is, and to root it out of our Republic's officials.

I hope the Socialist and Marxist are really proud of themselves for ruining this Republic and Capitalist system. After all, redistribution of wealth through our government forcing us to give loans to people that couldn't afford them, is the reason for this near depression, recession that we are in. If you're out of work right now, blame a Marxist. They've done this by adding so much Socialism and Marxism into our free market system.

Its only going to get worse. Once Obamacare is ruled Constitutional, it will be but another nail in our Republic's coffin.

Remember, these radicals are but trying to do one thing. Overload the system, then crash the system, and then take it over and rebuild it in the image of Marxism. Typical Cloward-Piven. They are doing all this by design. Enjoy your new country, and be proud of yourselves as you've taken down the greatest country that ever existed.

it's 30 pages long and fairly small type. Lot of reading there, and I'm not up for it at the moment.

I have heard that a lot of communist countries have constitutions that at first glance look like they're about freedom and liberty for all, but in practice that's not how the words are interpreted or applied.
A few points as addenda to EJR's post.

Healthcare in Vietnam was free and provided to every citizen up until about the early 1990's. The system collapsed as a result of corruption, mis-management, and budgetary constraints. ( reminiscent of a well known U.S. program that is in danger of the same fate ) Now the government subsidies healthcare by 20% so the individual is responsible for the remaining 80% of the bill. But where does the 20% of the subsidies come from? Well from good citizens paying taxes of course, and since there is no "Private Practice" the good government doctors will decide what the best care is based on the best interest of the socialist republic. So much for second opinions.

Education in Vietnam is, as noted in the constitution, a required obligation of all of its citizens. Education is free for all children up to age 11. Once the child turns 12, their parents are responsible for tuition whether or not they have the money. If you cant afford to pay tuition, you can expect a visit from the education ministry. There is no private schooling or home schooing for primary education, however private schools are startng to show up for higher education.

For all you anti-capitalists here, Vietnam had to move away from a centrally planed economy, which is the staple for most socialist regimes, and move to a  market economy. Vietnam in 1986 realizing that it cannot achieve GDP of other developing countries and generate enough revenue to operate the government, decided to amend the laws with "doi moi" which change the economy to a market economy and encouraged private business ownership to create competition. Ofcourse the government still has a controlling interest in your business such as redistrubiting profit margins and regulating competition. But atleast the socialists over there were honest about centrally planned economies just don't work and evil capitalists ideas do work.

One final thing I will add is that the concept of private property rights for the most part don't exists here (Vietnam) and land ownership is verbotten. In fact when Ho Chi Minh came to power in North Vietnam, one of the first things he did was round up all the wealthy land owners and execute them. This was intended to send a message to other land owners that it would be in ther best interest to forfeit the land in the best interest of the state. Who knows better than government, right?

Dude! Hope you are back in the States!!
France has a socialist Constitution. Just look how it is all unraveling now for them...

Liberty, Fraternity, Equality...

Yeah right!!!! You cannot have Liberty when you have Equality. And to have Equality, you need to create stupid rights who violate the Liberty of others. It is not rocket science but too many people are dumbed down now to understand that.

Not too far from how things are run over here. Court interprets something one way and that's how it's done until challenged again by a different judge.

Funny, our Constitution at first glance looks like it is for freedom and liberty for all, but in practice, the way the laws are applied and interpreted by our corrupt Supreme Court are anti-freedom and liberty as well. :shattered:
