Police say a 53-year-old city council member from Georgia maintained an inappropriate four-year relationship with a teenage girl that started when she was 13.
Kent Igleheart, a married Roswell city council member, was arrested on Thursday, when, police say, he showed up at a shopping center to meet with the girl who is now 17, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
.DeKalb police Maj. Stephen Fore told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that investigators believe Igleheart had sexual relations with other minors
Last year, he wrote, produced and directed a short film about LGBT teenagers, titled “Unconditional,†which received a nomination from the Gwinnett Center International Film Festival and an award from Out on Film, Atlanta’s LGBT film festival.
According to the film’s website, it raised money for Lost-n-Found, a homeless shelter for the LGBT community in Atlanta.
