It works both ways, one person does something stupid and guns are banned, another gets killed in a National Park, and now we can carry on Parks. :?oldschool68 said:Just there last night... they added a big "no gun/no knife" sticker to the front door.
Asked the manager (a friend of mine) why and he said the last guy they ok'ed to carry was unholstering his gun and showing his friends. Called the cops and he was escorted out. Turns out he didnt even have a magazine or ammo for it.
Folks like these make it bad for all of us.
He told me as a general rule, they do not allow weapons. He then said "I dont mind if you want to carry... just keep it concealed and dont be stupid"
So i guess its a kinda win, kinda lose. One guy messed it up for everyone except people that the manager knows personally.
Don't forget to take your ball with you. :roll:oldschool68 said:yikes... so sensitive about language!! my my... hope yall dont have a TV or go to the movies... or school... or bars... or restaurants... or leave the house... or really interact with any society. If you do, you might be disappointed about the language used!
guess i will just keep my list of off limits places to myself and let yall figure it out on your own.
The guy ignored the agreement he made with the site owner when he joined. He'd dropped the "F" bomb in place of "messed up". He could've learned from it, but decided to get irate instead.mygunstoo said:Did I miss something? The post was fixed quickly. What happened?
ah... a fellow kennesawan! Yes, I spoke to Mike and he said the reason behind the sign was that there was a guy that asked to carry and they said okay. He gets in and is apparently showing it off to friends, unholstering it, racking the slide, etc. General no no behavior in public. Cops were called and he was escorted out. I was there last night as well and completely missed the sign on my way in. I was talking to Jason and he told me the story. Confirmed it with Mike. After our conversation, Mike said "I dont mind if you carry in here, just keep it covered and dont be stupid." I take that as he is okay if it is someone he knows (i have gone there for about 8 years... althought not as much recently) Regardless, I am going to follow up with Joe this weekend.NRAninja said:Bailey's?
I've been going there 2-3 times a week since last summer and saw that sign last night and was wondering why they just put it up now instead of when Taco Mac, georgia restaurant association, etc. picked a fight with us a couple of years ago or when SB308 passed last year.
lol. yeah I am big fan of baileys myself. I have however found myself working out instead of drinking as much beer so I dont go as oftenNRAninja said:It's lame that that guy screwed it up for everyone. Without any signs I figured it was a don't ask don't tell type deal. I thought about asking about the sign since I go there so much and everyone kind of sort of knows me, but I didn't want to draw that kind of attention to myself since I'm not 100% clear if that place is a "bar" as defined by SB308.
There was someone who worked doorman/security at the kilt who I used to see post here somewhat frequently. His screenname here started with MINDCRIME. I saw him OCing at the kilt a lot. I never asked about their carry policy and don't remember anybody saying anything one way or the other, so it was don't ask don't tell when I went there. I'm pretty sure the kilt isn't a bar according to sb308. I have only been to the Kilt a few times since I started going to Bailey's, so I don't know if they posted any signs. I get more fake attention from the servers at Bailey's and it's a lot cheaper too. Haha.
awesome post... did not know of that way to look them up. I was looking for something like that earlier today!N.T.F.S. said:If it is the Bailey's listed in the Alcohol Retailer Search at https://etax.dor.ga.gov/ALCOHOLRETAILER/SearchResultsList.aspx
it shows up as a Restaurant, the guy that messed it up for everyone else did not have to ask for permission in the first place. So play it as you wish you can still carry there unless of course you are asked to leave.
