Gaston and his plastic guns. Click link and read. Pay attention to the part of non-firearm related inventions.

    God made man.
    Sam Colt made him equal.
John Moses Browning gave him excellence with the 1911
and Perfection with the Hi Power.
Gaston Glock gave him plastic junk.

That answer your question? If not, think in proper context. I gave up plastic guns when I was 10.

The really sad part is a lot of gun makers have switched to plastic because of Glock. I think every Glock should be recalled and destroyed. Maybe then the real gun makers will go back to making real guns.

I love my heavy steel guns (CZ75B-SA, and Sar K-2), but on days (most) when my back is bothering me, I like to carry my lighter plastic pistols.

The idea of strong polymer frames don't bother me, as long as the slide and barrel are steel. I did replace the plastic guide rod with a steel one in my Glock.

I'm a new glock owner and I learned from reading that they fire after being dipped in mud, ran over with a truck, or dropped from a helicopter, but too much oil causes malfunctions. Wierd.....

Welcome to the club! Don’t listen to the Glock haters here. There’s many good reasons why most law enforcement and federal agencies carry them. They’re not as pretty, not as historic, not as nostalgic and not as legendary as most guns. But they’re also not as heavy, not as complicated and not as expensive either. Most importantly, they go BANG whenever you pull the trigger!

Yeah I'll stick with the idea of lubricating parts that slide against one another.
