I finally received my two SBR Form 1s yesterday. It took 311 days from checks cashed until receipt. That's nearly 10 1/2 months. :banghead: The last time I dealt with NFA stuff, which I admit was several years ago, I got the forms back in less than 60 days. I'm done with NFA stuff for the foreseeable future until the 41F backlog is taken care of. But now I can go get that second Colt MK18 upper!

NFA needs to be eliminated. But that's obvious. Glad your wait is over.

Out-freaking-rageous.

I could go for another SBR and can... but I REFUSE to wait that long. I don't even mind the tax.... it just irks me that the papers basically sit in a stack until they feel like running a NICS check on me.... which could simply be happening at the POINT OF SALE... just like a handgun.

My previous ATF wait times, in order of receipt were:
59 days - eFile'd Form 1 (2015)
99 days - eFile'd Form 1 (2015)
177 days - Paper Form 4 (2015)
101 days - eFile'd Form 1 (2015)
126 days - Paper Form 4 (2016)
234 days - Paper Form 4 (2016)

59 day wait was "ok"... to build my first SBR... kinda got me hooked.

After the 234 day wait... I called it quits.

I missed out on the good ol' days of getting form 1's back in 30 days with a trust. :|
