Not trying to hijack your thread, but can y'all tell me how these compare to Ka-Bar? I have 2 Camillus made ones that I acquired years ago. I always wanted a Ka-Bar. I have the original beat up leather sheath for one, but nothing for the other. Just curious.

Camillus is one of several companies that made Ka Bars.

Camillus, IIRC, is highly prized as a collector's piece. Obviously, FMV is dependent on the individual collector. However, Cammilus, in NY state, is no more, so they are no longer made.

The brand itself may be manufactured by someone else. The real deal, is not.

:righton: No one has matched the steel in the Camillus blade. It was true Damascus. I've been looking for a Camillus Pilot Survival Knife for a while.
