Assault and battery, 5 years mandatory because you had your pocketknife or carry pistol on you while you did this: "(1) Any crime against or involving the person of another" plus time for the assault and battery.

Something like this could end up being abused by a LOT of the DA's in various counties in Georgia.

OWM, while I agree with your distaste, I feel compelled to point out that the language you discuss is not a part of this bill. That is current law.

When reading bills, plain text is already law. Strike throughs are things that the bill will remove. Underlines are things that the bill will add.
