They never stop.

I'm tired of the constant attack on our rights by the Democrats and the backstabbing of Gov. Deal in vetoing HB 1060 and HB 859.

Let's get a great omnibus bill passed and signed BEFORE the session is over, or Deal gets NONE of his pet projects pushed through.
Kill it! Kill it before it breeds!!

But she does not know what she is doing. Seems her code section does not do much more than require a 5 minute overview of firearm features by the guy behind the counter.

Add the 4 basic rules of gun safety and all is well.
All guns are always loaded.
Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target.
Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.

Or have those on a sign behind the counter for the customer to read.

If one has to get enacted this one does not look real bad. But see first 2 sentences in this post.

51 (E) Has received basic firearms training provided by a law enforcement officer, a
52 nationally recognized organization that promotes firearm safety, or a licensed firearms
53 dealer.
Such training shall include instruction on the features of a handgun and a brief
54 explanation of loading, firing, and unloading of the weapon.
; provided, however, that
55 live firing shall not be required.

underline added by me to tie it together

Hate to say it but this one looks like it would actually get some Republican votes, especially in the Senate. It's certainly something to be on the lookout for as a tack-on to any bill we try to get passed because "compromise."
Problem is if they get this they can go for add on jun anytime.

Yup....once it's law it is easier to expand than removs
Rep. Waites has a GWL too. She told us so at a GCO gun show booth.

Absolutely not! Why should there be any form of state mandated "training", no matter how simple and easy, required to exercise a right? Once the camel's nose gets under the tent, you know what happens next.

Your first sentence is far more appropriate.

I agree completely. But she could have gone with NY or IL type requirements.

Rather she did, would Probably be killed easier than something that doesn't seem very disingenuous at first.

Really irrelevant, isn't it? Just the fact that it imposes further needless requirements should be justification to deep six it.
WSBTV just now quoted Cagle saying that the bill is "dead on arrival"

He's really putting himself out as the 2A candidate for Governor.

Lets see what he does when its not a slam dunk. This one is easy to use and pose over, campus carry, 2A carry now those would be a true test of his commitment.

Actually that was his facebook post related to HB10. WSB failed to get him to respond to this one.
So and now that Tom Price got picked up for HHS Secretary, are we to expect Cagle to run for Guv ?

Well, someone else needs to romp that election, who is actually pro-Constitution.
is HB 11 filed by the same nitwit legislator, who wants to require gas stations to provide security if they have been hit twice in a year span with violent crime?

that is, going after the end crime (carjackings, robbery, murder at atlanta gas stations) but failing to address the real root cause (poverty, thug culture, criminals)?

that is, same failed logic that zealots keep going after gun rights about?

Low hanging fruit.
I got to know how you found that? I actually used the search feature there and couldn't come up with it. I mean it was top story on 6 o'clock newscast and no tweets about it and no main page story.
