Authorities also said the gun was stolen out of Houston in 1997. One of the boys said the gun belonged to his father, and police said they don't think the father knew it was stolen.
Police do not anticipate filing any charges
I'm sure the "father" didn't know his son was in a gang either.........mountainpass said:Cops: Teens accidentally shot while playing with gun

Why not? Didn't they discharge a gun within city limits? Weren't they in possession of a stolen gun? Weren't they illegally in possession (being minors)? I'm sure there's a few other things but not filing any charges shows that we make victims of the wrong people, all while our society also goes about making criminals out of innocent law abiding citizens. We have things backwards.Officers said someone reported the gun stolen from Houston 13 years ago. They said they were investigating the incident, but did not plan to charge anyone so far.
