I sent emails to several of them asking their position on gun control. So far only one has responded and it was a song and dance around the issue.

I support the 2nd Amendment. The constitution clearly protects the rights of law abiding citizens when it comes to gun ownership. I did not put this on the website because it is not an issue that I currently plan on actively working on. Although, I will work to protect citizen's rights when challenges do come up. Hope that answers your question. Do you have any thoughts on the matter you'd care to share with me? I'm always open to discussion.

He says he supports it but it's "NOT' something on his radar. I doubt he really supports it at all.

I took it to mean he is disinterested in the issue. Doesn't really want to talk about and would like me to tell him how to answer my question so I would like answer he came up with. Political walk about. A true supporter of the 2A knows where he stands. A lip service supporter of the 2A avoids direct answers.

Keith Grawert ends his message by asking if you (the 2A supporter) have thoughts to share.
I'd give him a few specific ideas about what bills / proposals he should support, and why.
Keep it to 400 words (1 typed page).
Yeah I could do that. But that is just political speech for "tell me how to answer so you will like it.". I got tired of giving them the answers that best suited the situation many years ago. To his credit he is so far the only one to attempt to even respond.
