There is no reasonable doubt Bruce Gosnell acted in self-defense, Jason Carlile says.

No criminal charges will be filed against Bruce Gosnell Jr., who fatally shot a 16-year-old boy he thought was breaking into his home in Albany, Linn County District Attorney Jason Carlile has decided.

This one has the "details." A cop was actually right outside the house on the trail of these burglars when the homeowner shot the "victim of the Second Amendment." You have to read this one.

What!? A 'victim' of the 2nd A? That's just dumb as dirt. Could I be a victim of the 1st A by having to hear someone I don't want to? Can I be a victim of the 4th A by being secure in my person and papers? One could be a 'victim' of the illegal use of a firearm, just as one could be a 'victim' of slanderous speech, but a victim of the Amendment? In this particular case, this young man is a simply reaping the consequences of his actions. As a small town boy from the South, we just knew that snooping around a man's porch at 3:00 am was a good way to get shot. If one doesn't want to get wet, one shouldn't play by the water.

I don't understand this.

OK, I agree Bush may well be the worst president in history but what does that have to do with some punk getting shot while commiting a crime?

If poor little Jeremy hadn't been breaking into houses he wouldn't have been shot. Cause and effect...

The little bastard's not a "victim of the 2nd Admnt", he's a victim of his own thuggisness. Yes, it's tragic to end a life so young but again I say, if he had been behaving himself, he'd still be alive.

I don't understand the writer's problem. Don't break the law and you won't risk ending up dead at age 16....... or any other age. Maybe that's harsh, but that's life. The little punk probably didn't derserve to be killed but he brought it on himself.
