Restructure move to set up in Texas. I am confident it is a calculated move to not have to deal with the NY litigation and do some inside reorganization at the same time.

The "National Rifle Association of America" is a registered trademark. The organization will be 150 years old this year. The NRA's problems are internal (mainly LaPierre, some cronies and how they advocate) and the Board will need to address them if they don't want to hemorrhage membership. Reincorporating in Texas should just be the start of cleaning up their act.

Abandoning the name to the commies would be a defeat of enormous proportions that would severely impact 2A advocacy for years to come, in my opinion.

Yep, I sent a letter (us mail, w/stamp)
saying that to the Director of Membership. I've quit the NRA and won't rejoin until Wayne LaPierre is gone, totally excommunicated from the organization.

I keep expecting them to dissolve or evaporate. I don’t get any feelings that they are a well-run organization anymore.

It’s a shame really. They could do great work if they would organize around 2A advocacy principles.

What’s the most likely thing that would happen to the training side of the house? Would they split into a separate independent org? Would some other org incorporate them? I’d hate to see the training support go away.

Maybe this will help things. Some. Maybe. https://www.gunpowdermagazine.com/rep-boebert-named-co-chair-of-second-amendment-caucus/

Not looking optimistic. I hope the training side of the house keeps on somehow.

I'd like to see a new corporation called "National Rifle Association-V.2" formed in some conservative state,
made up of ex-NRA members, but NONE of any of the corporate officers and directors of the old group, at least not the ones who seemed to go along with the dirty dealings and cover-ups over there.
They should all be banned from any participation or affiliation with the NRA-V.2
The NRA-V.2 should be more conservative with how they spend money, should NOT hound existing members for more donations above annual membership, should end all cross-marketing agreements and promotions to sell NRA members overpriced junk products or services for more than normal market prices, with the NRA getting a cut for helping make the sale.

Federal Judge Harlin Hale ruled the gun group’s attempt to relocate to Texas in response to litigation by New York Attorney General Letitia James (D.) targeting the group could not go through. The judge said the group did not have the needed oversight to prevent or punish impropriety carried out by its executives.

“If you’re going to do a sketchy filing, the lesson from SGL Carbon was don’t tell everyone that you’re solvent and doing the filing to stiff a single creditor in your press release,” he wrote on Tuesday. “Yet, that’s exactly what the NRA did.
Yeah, because that's a dumbass move that every bankruptcy judge will crap on you for.
