The story about a 17 year old from Illinois who came to Wisconsin (20 mile trip) to "help guard" local businesses during the BLM / AntiFa led protests (riots, looting and arson sprees) and ended up shooting 3 of them, two fatally, and shooting AT a third (but missing him)
...is currently buried in a much longer thread about Kenosha, Wisconsin police shooting an angry and noncompliant black criminal (Jacob Blake) in the back.

Jacob Blake deserves his own thread, and Kyle Rittenhouse deserves HIS OWN THREAD just for his incident, and prosecution, and eventually a trial or court hearing.

QUOTE on Kyle's situation:

"...a Lake County judge allowed Kyle Rittenhouse - the 17-year-old from Antioch [IL] charged with killing two people and wounding another at violent demonstrations in Kenosha [WI] over Blake's shooting - to remain in Illinois for at least another month as his family arranges legal help..."

My biggest question about the whole trial is...

Isn't the prosecutor obligated to be just as honest and truthful in his statements as everyone else is within the trial? The prosecutor told so many lies directly to the jury he should be jailed for perjury.

While lawyers are suppose to fight for their clients, the DA is suppose to fight for truth and the law. With some of the big cases over the last couple decades, that fact seems to have been lost.

The thing about the Rittenhouse case that is lost on the left is this:

There are problems in the court system. The unfairness of the prosecution across a range of aspects are entirely unfair and run past the legal and constitutional bounds of our system's limit.

In the Rittenhouse case, there's clear ability to defend himself with a lot of money. This was due to donations. These will hopefully surmount the unfair stacking of the court.

It's easily argued that issues in the courts in the inner city that folks thow against the wall as 'racist' are just the same unfairness that we're seeing in this trial.

There's a lost opportunity for the left who might be reasonably arguing for more fair legal process to actually point to this case and get some real justice reform that pays attention to the rights of the accused while still carrying the interest of proper and right justice (vs retribution).

Certainly not a broader fix but if granted it certainly bolsters your statements.

If the DA takes this one on the teeth, this will either support the initial protests or involve some very complex gyrations to come up with “Miscarriage of justice but not THAT miscarriage of justice!”

Man. That’s a very insulated perspective. I’ve got a neighbor that shot a prowler with a rifle when she was 14 and home alone. I don’t think she went looking for trouble anymore than Rittenhouse did. He said so on the stand. There are times you’ve done nothing wrong and trouble still comes knocking. Sometimes trouble wants to make a quick buck and other times trouble wants to “f**n kill you” or “empty the entire mag” in trouble’s own words…

In this week’s edition of sideshow justice…

Just before noon, police announced the apprehension of a man who allegedly followed the jurors on a bus in an attempt to photograph them on Wednesday evening. The man allegedly claimed to be a producer with MSNBC.

Judge Bruce Schroeder responded by barring MSNBC from the courthouse for the remainder of the trial.
Anthony Chacon, 20, was booked on charges of felony bail jumping, misdemeanour bail jumping, battery, resisting and disorderly conduct, a Kenosha Police spokesperson confirmed to Fox News.
Mr Chacon was reportedly seen “body-slamming” a reporter and attacking a supporter of Mr Rittenhouse while wearing a T-shirt which read: “F**k Kyle.” The bail-jumping charges indicate Mr Chacon has a previous criminal record, the details of which are unknown.
I can’t wait to hear how body slamming was provoked. Are we going to have a narrative that the reporter “went looking for trouble” too?

I'm pretty sure Kyle will be acquitted for shooting the first guy, the **** child molester, who had previously threatened to kill him and was enraged and attacking him (although barehanded.)
It's never a good idea to use a gun against a single person who attacks you with no weapons, but since this guy had made death threats and since he was effectively part of a larger group of communist agitators who were violent and were upset that Kyle was putting out the arson fires that they've started.... I say it will be an acquittal on this count.

I think he's in more danger of getting convicted for shooting the other two communists who have claimed (or others have claimed on their behalf) that they were trying to use force to detain what they believed was a murderer escaping the scene of the crime.

I'm sure they were trying to "detain him for the police" by taking his head off with a rock, a jump kick to the face while he's down, a skateboard and a Glock while he was trying to get to the police a couple of blocks up the street. Which just so happens to be the direction he was going.

Perhaps you can answer this question. Is the prosecutor obligated to be completely truthful about the facts and the law when addressing the court, the witnesses and the jury? If so is this prosecutor guilty of perjury for his lies to all of the above especially in his closing statement directed to the jury?

Charges 6 and 7 were dismissed before getting to the jury.
There’s more or less medical evidence, testimony, and video support of self defense for charges 1, 4, and 5.

That leaves charges 2 and 3 of reckless endangerment from over-penetration or errant rounds.

I think it will be difficult to prove utter disregard for human life beyond all reasonable doubt. There were rioters who were in sight pictures and the trigger was not pulled.

Ok, so I posted a meme on my own personal Facebook wall and got a 3 day suspension. I appealed, they reviewed and denied the appeal. I then appealed to their cute little 3rd party commie arbitrator. (The meme was one picture of BLM protestors demanding to defund the police with the caption "We can police our own communities", the 2nd picture in the meme was Kyle Rittenhouse walking towards the police while holding his AR 15 and the caption read "Policed his own community" and the third picture is the famous meltdown of someone reacting to the Trump win in 2016).

Here's the thing...Facebook will not give me the name of the person who made the decision to block all access with my personal friends and family. They will not even give me a detailed reason why they put the ban in place. They did not even give me a warning (the meme was not bad, and was actually quite funny). I have demanded the name of the individual, or individuals that placed the communication block on me. I did so quite forcefully, it was NOT a request. They have not complied.

Which of their brick and mortar locations do I need to go to? I want to file a formal complaint against their employee who is hiding behind an anonymous wall of secrecy that felt compelled to edit my own personal posts on my own personal wall. I never asked for my posts to be edited or censored and certainly never consented to it.

They have all of my personal details and data, yet they hide behind secrecy. That is a major Gestapo Commie tactic and needs to be kept in check.

When you start flowing in the wind, point downwind so you don't get wet.

That is about the effect of complaints there. It won't really matter how much time or money you spend on it, expect zero effect.

Hard to predict whether the commie thugs will still riot. I suppose they will because that's what they do. But I'm sure most will give pause now regarding attacking anyone that looks like they might be armed.

They have seen how that can be a "He chose poorly" situation.

Well, I can only hope we‘ve settled which parties went looking for trouble that night after all.
