Are Revolvers Passé?
With new models being introduced, it seems that cylinder guns are more popular than ever.
Posted November 29, 2017 in Shooting by Dr. John Woods with 27 Comments

A recent article in a second-class gun magazine reviewed several handguns that were introduced at the 2017 SHOT Show in Las Vegas. The author called revolvers "antiquated technology on par with the manual typewriter," but went on to state that despite this, American gun consumers simply cannot get enough of them. He was certainly correct on that account.

If anything, revolvers are just as popular today as ever, if not moreso given the introductions of new, exciting models from major gun manufacturers. If these wheel guns did not sell, why would gun makers continue to produce them? In fact, they cannot keep up with demand for new revolvers.

Keep going with that. Once you return to it, you can begin to see the light.

From the looks of some of those female gym rats, talking will never work.
I didn't want to go right to it, but I meant one must be one of those silver tongue devils.

Light Material property Everyday carry Gun accessory Auto part
The .38 snubby revolver is still popular, but medium and large sized revolvers are going the way of the landline, wall-mounted phone.
Out of date.
Replaced with new designs that are easier to use AND cheaper (designed for mass production).

I pack a .38 snub regularly.

I dunno-- S&W Model 10 and 66 (and minor variants) will never die.

Revolver Air gun Trigger Wood Gun barrel
I slimmed-down a set of wood stocks for the six-inch bbl. Model 66, and carried it for a few hours yesterday. It's going to serve as my "car carry" and "home defense" gun this week and next.

The little J-frame snubby is still my daily on-body concealed carry gun.

Like I figure with my 5906, if you need back up (or a second magazine) for your G19, you dayum well better have incoming air support.
