Another record hottest year

Last year was the hottest year on record, beating the 2015 record which beat the 2014 record. The hottest year prior to 2014 was 2010. Recordings started in 1880.
I wonder if 2017 will break the 2016 record. I don't know about the rest of the world, but here in Ga we are off to a good start.

Well 2017 didn't break the record. It came in second as the hottest year.

Earth's global surface temperatures in 2017 ranked as the second warmest since 1880, according to an analysis by scientists at NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS). Continuing the planet's long-term warming trend, globally averaged temperatures in 2017 were 0.90 degrees Celsius (1.62 degrees Fahrenheit) warmer than the 1951 to 1980 mean. That is second only to global temperatures in 2016.

I'm hoping so. Things we grow do much better in the warmer weather as does the increased CO2 that the AGW crowd swear is happening (despite not being proven). Scientists have shown that back during some of the "warmer times" of our planet, the fauna and flora was a lot more diverse. I look forward to the global warming trend that isn't really happening.

I forget...
Is the Earth in some sort of "steady state" where the temperature has remained pretty much the same since the crust cooled?
Or, is the Earth in sort of a state of flux with Ice Ages interspersed with warmer times?

If there are indeed are Ice Ages, then does it stand to reason that we are either heading into another one (and therefore experiencing cooler and cooler temperatures) or coming out of the most recent one (and therefore experiencing warmer and warmer temperatures)?

Was Man responsible for the Medieval Warm Period? Obviously not as scientists attribute it to three main causes,
increased solar activity
increases volcanic activity
changes in ocean circulation.

What do we have today?

Ohh I'd definitely agree with that. What I think is interesting in the magnitude of global change in recent years. We are talking about records being broken since man was recording in very recent years. I know climate change occurs with or without man. I don't have a political point to make here. The idea of global warming has changed from "no it isn't" to "well it is, but it's normal"
It isn't even a little interesting that the 4 hottest years occurred during the last 4 years of the 137 year recorded history? Again, I don't have a political point to make here.
