At the Goodwill store in Cumming, 715 Atlanta Hwy (just south of Hwy 20 near Exit 14) there is a Kevlar PASGT helmet, size XL I think, (printing in it is faded), with suspension / liner.
No cover, missing most of chinstrap.
I thought about that, but YouTube is just full of videos showing people shooting at PASGT body armor --both the helmet and the vests. So I don't think I'd learn anything. This item's highest and best use is to go to the home of some preppher or ultra prepared patriot type that wants to have head protection when called upon to fulfill the "citizens militia" role.
Shooting it up just for the hell of it would be wasteful.
PASGT helmets are rated for Level 3A threats - 9mm, .40 S&W, .44 Magnum, etc. Pistol rounds. Those rounds may not make it through but you may die from blunt force trauma from the backface deformation. Rifle rounds (5.56mm, 7.62mm and up) will put new openings in both sides of the helmet as well as your head. And should you luck out and get shot in the face it doesn't matter what helmet you're wearing. I got rid of mine ~25 years ago when I figured out they were useless for my purposes.
These are more useful for protection from fragmentation and blunt force trauma when confronting those antifa hordes or women with really huge thighs.
