The numbers in the story bother me.

"There are already hundreds of Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies openly carrying guns on their hip at the Florida State Fair. Those are the guns you see, but there are hundreds more in the fair every day, you don’t.

According to statistics from the sheriff’s office the number of guns have gone from 690 in 2015 to 1,750 in 2017. That averages out to about 146 concealed carry permit holders each day across the 12 day event. More than 500 have been brought in in 2018 so far."

Hundreds of deputies? Really? Hundreds?

The precision of the numbers of CC holders attendind also makes me wonder how such numbers are gathered so precisely?

HCSO has ~2,000 sworn officers. The fair attracts 10s of thousands of people on any given day so having a couple hundred deputies around doesn't surprise me. Especially when the "young adults" go through their flash mob bullshit.

They use metal detectors. Not hard to jot down how many licenses you checked.

Yep. There was nothing funny about that school shooting, but it is hilarious how every news outlet is milking this for every drop they can possibly get, for as long as they possibly can. And their use of retarded buzzwords. And how a news story is "breaking news" for days and days. Just like the libtards milking every crisis, so as to not let them go to waste for shoving their agendas up our asses.

Specifically-----

If good folks could accurately predict when and where criminals might strike, they are pretty much stuck with carrying anywhere crime might strike . . .

Might want to edit that. I would suggest adding -- they probably would not go there-- following the where criminals might strike, . . .

Just seems to me to be a broken sentence making a hard change of direction.

I recall 49 people were murdered at a Florida nightclub a couple years ago, and of course 17 were murdered at the high school last week. Is there an update on the number of murder victims at the fair, with hundreds of permit holders carrying legally? It wasn’t mentioned in the article but I assume it must be in the thousands by now.

Final figures are yet to be tabulated but I've heard that it's approaching..........zero.
