Grading Key
Letter Grade What that grade means Points needed for that grade
A+ Extremely Pro Gun (sponsors many and votes for all pro gun bills) 3.0 or more
A Very Pro Gun (sponsors and votes for pro gun bills) 2.0 to 2.9
B Pro Gun (votes for pro gun bills and votes against anti gun bills) 1.0 to 1.9
C May vote either way 0.0 to 0.9
D Anti gun (votes for anti gun bills and votes against pro gun bills) -1.0 to -0.1
F Strongly anti Gun (sponsors of anti gun bills) -2.0 to -1.1
F- Extremely Anti Gun -2.1 and below
NA Did Not Vote on any gun legislation OR has yet to vote on any gun legislation not possible to grade
Report Cards are ranked according to how they vote (sponsoring a bill is extra credit or penalty)
1 point for voting for pro gun bills or voting against anti gun bills
No points counted for or against for if a missed vote was "excused", graded as a NA (skipping a vote is the same as voting against a pro-gun bill)
-1 point for voting against pro gun bills or voting for anti gun bills
Add the points and divide by the number of bills voted on.
Add 0.5 bonus points for every (co)sponsored pro gun bill
Subtract 0.5 penalty points for every (co)sponsored anti gun bill
