Process: | Filled out short form with personal info, no SSN required. Paid $60 cash total to probate court lady. They also take money orders (no checks or credit card). Took the paperwork to the Sheriff's office (in same bldg right around corner, down hallway) for digital fingerprinting (all fingers) and an ink print of right index finger. I got my license in the mail 8 days later. |

Process: | Might as well say they are all NEW applications, since there really is no difference anymore. One payment $60.00, Cash/Credit/Debit ($2.50 "Convenience Fee" if using Debit). They are no longer asking for SSN. Didn't ask for Temporary since the clerk said that processing would take 7-10 days (my GFL wasn't to expire for 2 more months). Filled out one short form - Responded to a short questionaire - paid my $60 - signed the permit - went down two offices and got printed. 20 minutes. That's it. |

Process: | Fill out the form, the person behind the desk transfers the information to a computer-generated appliction form, check the form for accuracy, check "yes/no" boxes for questions, pay the fee, go to Sheriff's Office in same bldg, get fingerprinted. That's it! |
