They required a money order for made out to GBI for 19.25, and cash or personal check for 28.00. I then drove from the courthouse to the Sheriffs department on Spring Creek Road where they took digital fingerprints and kept my application to send back over to the courthouse. I was told that if you go through this process in the morning, many times your license will be issued the same day in the afternoon. I went through the process on Friday afternoon and received a call first thing Tuesday morning that I could pick up my permit. The people at the courthouse and the Sheriffs department were VERY friendly and as helpful as could be expected. They also communicated with me promptly when the permit was ready, just like they said they would!
