Most definitely. I even have blueprints for the bunker I'm going to build as soon as I have the money. That was serious too, although the bunker could withstand attacks from other enemies as well. I was just telling my girlfriend last night that I need more ammo, because as it stands I could only take out a maximum of 35 zombies.

Oh yes. Especially when I went to see 28 Days/Weeks Later, Dawn of the Dead, and Shaun of the Dead in theatres. I really had a good time then!

Guns will certainly be useful during the zombie infestation. But after reading the Zombie Survival Guide, I need to get me a machete or a katana as well. Also, a Mosin Nagant or SKS with the folding bayonet can be very useful as well (long range head shots, close range spear or bludgeon). 8)

I'm reading the Zombie Survival Guide right now
Great little book to get you thinking. Don't agree with some of the ideas, but most of it makes great sense.

I read World War Z a few months ago and that peaked my interest in the writer, so I also purchased the Zombie Survival Guide.

Entertaining reading!

I'm about 3/4 through WWZ. It's pretty cool. The Zombie Survival Guide was hilarious.

I thoroughly enjoyed the zombie survival guide when it was released, but now when I go back and re-read it, I see that the author knows to next to nothing about guns. Really, really dumb things like calling assault rifles useless for zombies(he apparently hasn't heard of setting it to semi-auto.) Other dumb things like calling .22LR .22 rimfire.

Of course. I base most of my decisions on the impeding invasion. If anyone wants to borrow either book, just let me know.

Yep, got plenty of SKS's, and plenty of ammo, a couple of pump 12 gauge shotguns, and plenty of pistols.

All will be quite useful when... err, if the zombies come calling.

Okay, new question: what's your ideal anti-zombie weapon? My votes goes to the PS90.

What kind of zombies?

Slow, shambling horde: MP5 suppressed w/ laser. Silent, deadly headshots and won't draw attention of other zombies in the area.

Fast rage-virus zombies: Saiga 12 with lots of mags. Put 'em down hard with some 00 buckshot.

I've read the Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z. Both were great.

For old fashioned zombies? Doesn't really matter, you can pretty much just walk around those. Anything with a high cap will do.

The currently fashionable fast zombies? Well, that would depend on if head shots are necessary (they weren't in 28 Weeks/Days Later). If a head shot is necessary, I'll talk an AR-15 with a red dot sight. If a head shot isn't necessary, I'll take a Remington 870, and and XD-45 with lots of mags.

For shamblers, I'll take a 10/22 with one of those fancy mag loaders that you shake. Send out 10,000 people with that setup and your problem will be mostly gone in about a month. For ragers, AR-15, Beta mags, and a lot of prayer.

If you think .22lr is sufficient for zombie clearing, why not go with a G22?

Nah. If .22s are up to the job, one must have a Calico. Who else has 100rd mags that actually work? I'd not feel outgunned with one of their 9mm subguns, either.

Personally, I'd rather be the guy on the roof with the rifle. See how many you can peg with the same round...
